Esther Marshall

Head Physiotherapist & Pilates Teacher

Esther qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2005 with a BSc honours degree from the University of Manchester.  She has worked in both the NHS and private practise since qualification, building up a variety of skills and knowledge in musculoskeletal medicine.

In 2008 Esther trained with the AACP to use acupuncture as part of her treatment and studied for a diploma in orthopaedic medicine in 2009.  She has experience in treating a wide range of conditions but has a special interest in shoulder problems and headaches.

Esther has been teaching APPI Pilates since 2011 and is passionate about the use of Pilates in helping people rehabilitate from pain and injury. She loves that pilates teaches the body to move well in order to stay fit, healthy, supple and strong. Esther teaches different Pilates classes to suit all abilities including antenatal and postnatal classes. She found Pilates exercises extremely beneficial during her own pregnancy, labour and recovery from her two children.

As well as Pilates, Esther enjoys running and has run several half marathons as well as the Edinburgh marathon.
