Healthy HIIT With Esther

What is Healthy HIIT?

Healthy HIIT is:

  • High Intensity Training (HIT) or High Intensity Interval training (HIIT) is an enhanced form of training for increased metabolic changes.

  • It's an exercise strategy which alternates periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods.

  • Usual HIIT sessions may vary from 4 - 30 minutes.

  • These  short, intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, improved glucose metabolism and improved fat burning.

Healthy HIIT was created Glenn Withers, who is the co-founder of the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and creator of the APPI Rehabilitation Programme and Healthy HIIT Pilates.  He is also a published author of the best-selling book, "Back to Life with APPI Pilates".

Withers created Healthy HIIT while he was training for the Ironman Triathlon and saw the need for a more tailored and defined exercise programme.

Healthy HIIT is designed to reduce injuries and strains often caused by regular HIIT classes and aims to build the intensity slowly, through warm up and recovery plus using pilates moves to mirror muscle work and movement patterns to ensure better technique and to reduce injury.

Screening Test

Fitness Test

The course includes a fitness test pre- and post-completion so that you can truly see just how much your body has changed.  The results will surprise you!

2 x Live HIIT workouts per week

Each session lasts between 20 - 40 mins and includes a warm up and a cool down. Classes will be live at lunchtime but classes are recorded so you will have the option to watch it back if you miss the live stream.

1 x Live Recovery class per week

One class per week is a recovery class which is slower paced, shorter and includes more stretching. This enables your body to keep pushing further in the HIIT sessions

The next course is starting in January - exact date to be confirmed. Live classes will be at 6:30am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (with recordings available).

To sign up, please watch and complete this screening video first. During the first 15 minutes of the video Esther talks in depth about the course: what you can expect, what you will need, the types of exercises we will be doing and the kind of results you can expect.  It's really informative and will give you a really good idea what the course will be like.  Then, Esther shows you the 5 basic moves for you to follow along - it only takes 10 minutes.

Once you have completed the screening video, there are two ways in which you can participate in the course. You can do the LIVE 4-week course with me or you can order the pre-recorded 6-week course to do in your own time.
